Senior Engineer – CAD Designer

Role : CAD Designer

Experience : 3-4 Years

Qulification : Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Roles & Responsiblities :

    • Lead and manage CAD design projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and project managers, to gather project requirements and translate them into detailed CAD designs.
    • Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create 2D and 3D models, assemblies, and drawings according to project specifications.
    • Conduct design reviews to assess CAD models’ feasibility, functionality, and manufacturability, making necessary revisions and improvements.
    • Generate technical documentation, including engineering drawings, bill of materials (BOM), and design specifications.
    • Perform tolerance analysis and validation simulations to verify design integrity and performance.
    • Stay updated with industry trends, advancements in CAD technology, and best practices to continuously improve design processes and methodologies.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior CAD designers, fostering their professional growth and development.
    • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to evaluate components and materials for design compatibility and suitability.
    • Participate in cross-functional meetings and discussions to provide design insights, recommendations, and solutions.

Skills :

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in CAD design, preferably in off-road equipment.
    • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar.
    • Strong understanding of engineering principles, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and design for manufacturability (DFM).
    • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and simulation tools is desirable.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex technical challenges and propose effective solutions.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
